Flowery Branch's historic Main Street has become a dining destination unto itself, and Caroline's on Main is one of its brightest additions. Housed in the charming Liberty Candy Company building at 5518 Main Street, this chef-driven breakfast and brunch spot opened in early 2024 and has quickly attracted a devoted following for its fresh Southern fare, artistic presentation, and warm, inviting atmosphere.
Caroline's on Main is the creation of Chef Nicholas St. Clair (of Antebellum Restaurant and Peyton's Pie Company fame) and his wife Alison St. Clair, who named the restaurant after their daughter Caroline. Chef St. Clair's Antebellum Restaurant has been named an OpenTable Top 100 Restaurant in America for three years running, and the culinary pedigree carries through to every dish at Caroline's. The menu takes Southern breakfast and brunch classics and elevates them with thoughtful technique and fresh, quality ingredients.
Beignets with chocolate ganache and avocado toast, two of the most popular dishes at Caroline's on Main in Flowery Branch.
A Pink Gem on Main Street
From the moment you step inside Caroline's on Main, you know you have found something special. The interior is a cheerful pink-hued space with pink walls, pink booths, and warm lighting that creates an instantly welcoming ambiance. Housed in the historic Liberty Candy Company building, the restaurant honors the building's past while creating something fresh and new. The service is warm and attentive, and the kitchen puts thought into every plate. It is the kind of place that feels both polished and relaxed, equally suitable for a celebratory brunch or a casual Saturday morning outing.
Why We Love It
"Caroline's on Main is exactly what a neighborhood breakfast spot should be. The beignets with chocolate ganache are absolutely decadent, the Avocado Toast is beautifully presented, and the Chicken and Waffles are a perfect savory-sweet combination. Chef Nicholas St. Clair has crafted a menu that feels both elevated and approachable. It is a wonderful addition to Flowery Branch's dining scene and well worth the 15-minute drive from Apalachee Farms."

The Chef Behind It
Chef Nicholas St. Clair is a culinary force in the Northeast Metro Atlanta dining scene. He and his wife Alison own Caroline's on Main, named after their daughter, and Chef St. Clair is also the celebrated chef-owner behind Antebellum Restaurant in Flowery Branch (an OpenTable Top 100 Restaurant in America for three consecutive years) and Peyton's Pie Company. His culinary philosophy centers on fresh, thoughtful Southern fare made from scratch with quality ingredients.
That philosophy shines through at Caroline's on Main. Every dish reflects a commitment to technique and presentation that goes far beyond typical breakfast fare. The menu includes vegetarian-friendly options, and the kitchen accommodates dietary restrictions with care. Whether you order the beignets, the Avocado Toast, or the Salmon Benedict, you can taste the difference that chef-driven cooking makes.
