Important: Chateau Elan Is a Gated Community
Chateau Elan is a private, gated residential community, and that includes the yards participating in this weekend's sale.
Outside guests must be preregistered by a resident for security access. Please arrange your entry with a participating homeowner before you arrive.
Do not assume the gate will admit visitors simply because a community yard sale is taking place. Preregistration protects residents and keeps the neighborhood secure, so plan ahead.
Shopping Tips for the Big Weekend
A little planning turns a good yard sale morning into a great one. Keep these six tips in mind as you shop all 23 stops.
- 1
Plan ahead and make a list. With 23 stops across three day groups, a route and a list of what you are hunting for will save time and gas.
- 2
Bring shopping buddies. An extra set of hands helps with furniture and large finds, and a friend can hold your place at a busy stop.
- 3
Bring cash. Cash is the easiest way to close a deal at a yard sale.
- 4
Some sellers accept Venmo, Zelle or Cash App. Payment methods vary from home to home, so keep cash as your backup.
- 5
Look for balloons and welcome signs. Participating homeowners often mark their driveways so shoppers can spot them easily.
- 6
Check which homes sell which days. Fourteen stops are open both days, four are Friday only, and five are Saturday only. Match your route to the day you shop.
