I've read the Atlanta Business Chronicle for more than 30 years. I never expected to open it and see myself. 📰
Going all the way back to my corporate Sanyo days, the Atlanta Business Chronicle has been part of my professional life for decades. That made opening the September 4–10, 2026 print edition and seeing a story featuring my perspective on Metro Atlanta housing a pretty incredible full-circle moment.
Talking Metro Atlanta Real Estate
I recently sat down with Atlanta Business Chronicle reporter Janelle Ward for an in-depth conversation about some of the biggest issues facing the housing market today.
We discussed housing affordability, Metro Atlanta's housing supply, large institutional investors in the single-family housing market, and the new 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.
These aren't simply national policy discussions. They can have real implications for people trying to buy, sell, invest in or simply afford a home here in Georgia.
Bringing a REALTOR® Perspective to the Conversation
I was especially honored to be the only REALTOR® quoted in the article.
After 19 years in real estate, I see the housing market from ground level every day. I work with buyers trying to determine what they can afford, sellers navigating changing market conditions, relocation clients moving into Georgia, and homeowners trying to understand what all the headlines actually mean for them.
That's the perspective I wanted to bring to the conversation.
Housing policy can be complicated, and legislation doesn't transform a housing market overnight. But understanding what's happening in Washington, on Wall Street and right here in Metro Atlanta helps us better understand where our local market may be headed.
I Love Talking Real Estate. And I Love Talking Georgia. ❤️🤍💙
One of my favorite parts of being a REALTOR® is helping people understand more than simply what a house is worth.
Real estate is connected to our economy, communities, development, interest rates, insurance, taxes, affordability, housing supply and public policy. All of those pieces can ultimately affect Georgia homeowners.
That's why opportunities like this mean so much to me.
A big thank you to Janelle Ward for the conversation and to Amy Wilczynski for making the introduction that started it all. I'm grateful to both of you.
And yes, after reading the Atlanta Business Chronicle for more than three decades, this particular print edition is definitely going in the archives. 📰❤️
What's Next?
I'm not finished with this story yet.
Next, I'll take you inside the Atlanta Business Chronicle article and share more about the housing issues we discussed, what the new legislation could mean, and why Metro Atlanta homeowners, buyers and sellers should be paying attention.
